Nestled in the Suffolk countryside, overlooking the
River Orwell, Wherstead Park has a tranquil setting to
be enjoyed. The parkland is gently sloped and dotted
with heritage trees and includes several boxed hedge
squares and a rose lined pergola. There are a number of
walks around the ground, which was landscaped by the
renowned architect Humphry Repton. There will also be
access to the 18th century mansion.

Discover the UK's largest rose grower, a third generation
family-owned nursery who have cultivated roses in the
Waveney Valley since 1947. A unique opportunity to
discover 1.5 million roses in bloom all in a single 70-
acre field. Over 300 varieties on display, Hybrid Teas,
Floribunda, Patio, Flower Carpet, Climbers, Ramblers
and Classic Shrub Roses. Varieties on display span from
Rosa Mundi first introduced in 1600, to Rose of the Year
2026 Coral Gardens. St Elizabeth Hospice retail and
Thompson & Morgan trade stands in attendance (cash

acres, including one with a miniature railway, between
six and eight beautiful and varied gardens will be open to
visitors. The event starts at Nacton Village Hall, where
parking is available adjacent to the hall. St Martin's Church
will host a "Desert Island Discs" exhibition. Refreshments
will be available at both the village hall and the church.

The Laburnums is a one-acre garden featuring two
glasshouses, a conservatory and three ponds, with paths
winding through a variety of flower beds offering colour
and perfume throughout the year. Spring highlights include
snowdrops, hellebores, aconites and other early delights.
Benches are placed around the garden to enjoy the sights
and sounds at leisure. Hot soup, crusty bread, cakes and
drinks will be available, along with a plant stall. Parking is
at the nearby village hall. Well behaved dogs are welcome
on a short lead. Please clean up after your dog. The
Laburnums will return for The Great Garden Trail in 2027.
