"I was so pleased to raise over £1,300 and
to help spread the word about their great
services.
"When you first come under the care of
St Elizabeth Hospice, it quickly becomes
apparent the team is there to help you
through the difficult scenario you are facing.
"I hope that through my fundraising and
continued support of the hospice, more
people will learn about the difference their
services can make."
Alex's Hospice Story
"Our family was blown away by the hospice's
incredible care and compassion," said Alex
Hutton, whose dad, Chris, received support
from our partnership with East Coast
Community Healthcare (ECCH) until his
death in April 2021.
"All the hospice staff at Beccles Hospital
were kind and supportive. Even during the
pandemic, they made it possible for us to
safely see Dad and worked hard to keep his
care as normal as possible, always focusing on
his physical and mental wellbeing.
"Mum also made use of their 24/7 support
phone line, OneCall, which provided great
reassurance during a challenging time.
"We cannot fault the hospice staff. They were
so bubbly and friendly - we just knew Dad
was receiving the best care possible.
"The aftercare they provided was also
incredible, especially for Mum, who received
counselling support through the hospice's
LivingGrief service.
"This inspired me to run the Norwich Half
Marathon in 2024 to say 'thank you' for
everything they had done for our family.
