IPU Birthday
Celebration
We had a very special
event on our Inpatient
Unit, in August, as Sigi
Mermagen marked her
birthday alongside friends
and family with plenty of
cake, food and champagne.
'Well Done' Hospice
Snowdon Team
A massive 'well done' to the hospice
team who, in October, battled 30mph
winds, -7°C temperatures and
snowstorms to climb and descend
Snowdon at night, as part of a unique
hospice fundraising challenge. The
team of staff and volunteers raised
over £6,000 for the charity.
Finn Raises over £970 for Hospice
Ten-year-old Finn Bass raised £972 for the charity by
completing a 24-hour fundraising camp-out in July.
Finn was inspired to do the challenge, after his Grandad
shared a story with him about a man who once challenged
himself to see how many nights he could spend living
outdoors and he managed three years.
"I recently learnt about St Elizabeth Hospice and I can see
that is a very good cause," explained Finn.
"I like to help people and this was a good way to do that and
hopefully help people feel happier and more comfortable."
