What's been
happening at...
Created in 2015, Zest is our young
adult service which sees the team
work closely with East Anglia's
Children's Hospices (EACH) to
ensure young adults have a smooth
transition into adult care.
Led by the hospice's Head of Inclusion and
Development, Helen Finlinson, Zest provides
specialist medical and social support services
to young adults, aged 14 and upwards, living
with progressive and life-limiting illnesses.
Tractor Day Out!
We had a brilliant day out attending
Waldringfield Tractor Run in August. This
year marked the event's 20th anniversary and
during this time they have raised an incredible
£27,000 for the hospice and Zest.
The team at our Zest shop in Queen
Street, Ipswich, celebrated their landmark
5th anniversary this summer!
From pre-loved clothing and trendy
homeware, through to books, vinyl,
stylish gifts and hidden gems, the shop
has become a high-street destination for
eco and fashion conscious shoppers, with
profits raised going towards Zest.
Laura Jefferies has been shopping at Zest
since it opened and is now a volunteer:
"It is one of the best decisions I have ever
made. I feel like a part of a community
and have acquired new skills, reignited my
creativity and most significantly, improved
my mental health."
