Annually, on average, we deliver
care to over 4,000 patients and their
families, living with progressive or
life-limiting conditions throughout
East Suffolk, Great Yarmouth
and Waveney.
Our team delivers a wide range of support to
patients and their families at all points of life's
journey, providing them with dignity, comfort
and reassurance.
Every year, these services cost around £12m
to facilitate, with 70% of funds being raised
thanks to the fantastic community generosity
such as gifts in Wills, retail shops, donations
and fundraising activities.
In fact, 1 in 5 St Elizabeth Hospice patients
are supported by funds we received from
gifts in Wills, with every penny making a great
difference to those under our care.
People like Patricia Charman, whose mum
Grace, received support from the St Elizabeth
Hospice team: "Although St Elizabeth
Hospice's OneCall nurses were only in Mum's
life for less than her last 24 hours, I will always
be grateful for their kindness to us both at
that sad time.
"I have never met such caring and lovely
people than those that I met while
volunteering at St Elizabeth Hospice, so I have
left a gift in my Will so that other people may
receive the same supportive care, either at
home or in the hospice itself."
Wills Guide
This year we launched our Wills Guide
to help answer any questions you may
have regarding the Wills writing process
and the benefits of having a Will. It
also covers how you can support the
hospice in your Will.
