Well Done Zipliners!
Well done to our brave staff, volunteers
and fundraisers who took on a Zipline
challenge in August, to mark our 35 years
of hospice care.
Our awesome team of 28 took on the
challenge in North Wales, which saw the
daredevils zipping along at speeds of up
to 125mph, raising over £10,000 for the
hospice!
Hospices United Under
Education Partnership
We have partnered with St Helena Hospice
and St Nicholas Hospice Care as part of our
Hospice Education initiative, which provides
a planned and integrated approach to
palliative and end-of-life education, learning
and development for staff, volunteers and
the local community.
Mandy Summons, Head of Hospice
Education, said: "I am so pleased we have
been able to achieve this unified ambition.
This collaboration demonstrates our
commitment to in-house and outreach
education for 2024/25 across Suffolk and
North East Essex.
"We will continue to explore new joint
working opportunities with various multiprofessional
agencies, expanding partnership
learning and development activities to
ensure learning opportunities are inclusive
and accessible for all across Suffolk and
North East Essex."
Local Hospice Lottery
Winner!
Congratulations to Anna Hedges who
won an amazing £2,000 by playing Local
Hospice Lottery in aid of the hospice.
We presented Anna with her cheque at
her local hospice shop in Halesworth.
Anna said: "As a family, we've been
touched by people who have needed
hospice care, including immediate
family - so it's a personal connection
and important to support for the wider
community. It's nice to win, but it is the
hospice that is important."
