Since 1989, we have provided care
when it's needed most. Each year, we
deliver care without charge to over
4,000 patients and their families across
East & Mid-Suffolk, Great Yarmouth,
and Waveney, who are living with lifelimiting conditions.
Our services cost £12m annually, with
70% of funds raised through retail shops,
donations, and community support -
thanks to the generous support of people
like you.
From our Inpatient Units at the hospice
in Ipswich and Beccles Hospital, through
to our Community Care Units and
Community teams, as well as our therapy
teams and LivingGrief services, we
support patients and families throughout
their journey.
Harli's Hospice Story
"St Elizabeth Hospice helped my Mummy so
much and I want to say 'thank you' to the
hospice and help raise awareness of what
they do, so they can help more people,"
explained 11-year-old, Harli Dixon, whose
mum, Jemma Chatten, received support from
our team until her death in July 2022, aged
34-years-old.
"Jemma first came under the care of St
Elizabeth Hospice in June 2022," said Rob
Dixon, Harli's Dad.
"She was first diagnosed with breast cancer
in 2017 and received chemotherapy to fight
the disease. Unfortunately in 2021, she was
told the cancer had spread much further, and
was now incurable.
"From the moment she arrived, at the
Inpatient Unit, the staff were just brilliant.
Harli and I visited her every other day, so
they could see each other as much as they
could."
Melanie Mockett, Jemma's mum, added: "We
wanted to spend as much time as possible with
her and the hospice helped us achieve that.
