Ed Sheeran Auction 7
An auction featuring a range of items
donated by Suffolk singing superstar,
Ed Sheeran, raised over £50,000 for the
hospice and our young adult service, Zest.
Held in September, and hosted by Bishop &
Miller Auctioneers, the auction showcased
200 lots of Ed Sheeran's personal items
donated to our Martlesham retail shop. Ed's
fans, aka 'Sheerios', placed bids both in the
room and online from around the world.
Highlights included Ed's Ipswich Town away
shirt from the 2021-2022 season, which sold
for £2,000, and the star lot, a custom-made
Fernandes ZO-3 limited edition Pokémon
guitar, which fetched £11,000.
Clare Chater, Director of Income Generation
at St Elizabeth Hospice, said: "What an
amazing evening! We're hugely grateful to
Bishop & Miller Auctioneers for hosting the
auction and thank you to everybody who
supported the event.
"A special thank you, of course, must go
to Ed Sheeran for his incredible generosity
in donating such a remarkable series of
items. His support created a once-in-alifetime
opportunity for fans to own some
unique memorabilia, which I am sure will be
cherished by the successful bidders."
Other standout lots included a heart painting,
which drew strong bidding online and in
person, eventually selling to an East Anglian
buyer for £3,500. Ed's custom-painted Martin
LXM acoustic guitar was bought by local fan
Rob Jarvis for £3,400, adding to his collection
of Ed Sheeran guitars.
"It feels pretty awesome to win this guitar,"
said Rob. "I've now purchased all seven of Ed's
limited edition guitars for his albums.
"I won't be playing this one just yet. I am still
learning, but it will be on proud display!
